Job summary

Union Applied Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a fitter to interpret engineering drawings and assemble fabricated components into larger machines.

You will set up and operate machinery, diagnose faults, and perform repairs while maintaining records and following safety guidelines. The candidate should have at least an SPM or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, with 1–2 years of fitter experience and knowledge of SMAW/GTAW/FCAW.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a SPM or Certificate Engineering (Mechanical, Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
• Experience working as a fitter will be prioritized, preferred minimum 1-2 years working experience.
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Possess knowledge and skills in SMAW / GTAW / FCAW.
• Able to read and write in Bahasa Melayu and English.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and following engineering drawings
• Assembling fabricated components into a larger machine or system
• Setting up and operating machinery, tools and equipment to shape, cut and finish parts and components
• Detecting and diagnosing faults in equipment and machinery
• Performing repairs and replacing damaged parts in machinery and equipment
• Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing tasks
• Documenting and recording completion of tasks, issues identified and actions taken
• Adhering to safety guidelines and procedures
