Job summary

MalayanTech is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join the team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This role focuses on the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and mechanical equipment at construction sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, particularly in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW processes, and a minimum of 5 years' experience. Various benefits including an annual performance bonus and medical claims are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, piping, fitting, or mechanical fabrication.
• Hands-on skill in 6G GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding, with knowledge of oxy cutting and grinding.
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team and support the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and mechanical equipment at our construction sites.

What you'll do

• Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems, steel structures, and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform welding using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW processes, including cutting, grinding, and fitting work.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure work is completed accurately and within project timelines.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition and report defects when required.
• Follow all site safety requirements, including proper PPE use and safe working practices.

What we're looking for

Requirements

• SPM or a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, piping, fitting, or mechanical fabrication.
• Hands-on skill in 6G GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding, with knowledge of oxy cutting and grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical specifications accurately.
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Good to Have

• Experience in piping works on construction or industrial sites.
• Own transport and a valid driving licence.
