Job summary

Western Digital seeks a detail-oriented Firmware Test Development Engineering Intern to join our Petaling Jaya team. This internship offers hands-on experience in embedded systems development and firmware programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include developing, testing, and debugging firmware for embedded systems; collaborating with cross-functional teams; documenting firmware designs and test procedures; and contributing to code reviews and performance analysis.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field.
Strong programming in C/C++, Python, tcl.
Exposure to AI concepts such as machine learning or data analytics is a plus.
Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing, testing, and debugging firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and optimize existing code.
Contribute to documentation of firmware designs and test procedures.
Support version control management, code reviews, and firmware performance analysis.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for project improvements.
