Job description
About the Company

Randstad is exclusively partnering with a Top-Tier Global Professional Services Firm known for its dominance in the ASEAN region. This practice is a market leader in delivering specialized risk solutions to major financial institutions and corporate treasuries.

If you are a seasoned risk practitioner looking to transition from industry to advisory, or a consultant ready to step into a leadership role with a clear path to partnership, this is the platform for you. You will not just be implementing models; you will be advising C-Suite executives and Boards on the future of financial regulation and risk strategy.

About The Role

As an Associate Director or Director, you will wear two hats: that of a Subject Matter Expert and a Project Leader. You will lead high‑stakes engagements ranging from Basel 4 implementation to complex financial instrument valuation, while also driving business development and mentoring a team of bright consultants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Delivery

  • End‑To‑End Management: Lead large‑scale risk transformation projects from inception to go‑live, managing timelines, budgets, and internal risk processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary advisor to client management. You must be comfortable presenting technical findings and strategic recommendations to Steering Committees and Boards of Directors.
  • Implementation: Oversee the full lifecycle of risk technology implementation, from defining business requirements and data preparation to user testing and final configuration.

2. Technical Specialization (Lead one or more streams)

You will act as the Technical Lead in one of the following core areas:

  • Regulatory & Capital (Basel 3/4): Lead Basel III reform and Basel IV initiatives. Interpret regulations into business requirements and develop go‑to‑market solutions for financial institutions.
  • Credit Risk: Oversee model development and validation, specifically focusing on Basel IRB and IFRS 9 credit loss modeling.
  • Market Risk & Valuation: Manage FRTB initiatives and model validation. Critically review and perform fair valuation of complex traded and non‑traded instruments (derivatives, bonds, loans).
  • ALM & Treasury: Advise on liquidity management, funds transfer pricing (FTP), and balance sheet optimization.

3. Commercial & People Leadership

  • Business Development: Drive growth by engaging with CROs and CFOs to anticipate client needs. You will lead the preparation and presentation of proposals (RFPs) to win new mandates.
  • Team Development: Serve as a Performance Manager, guiding team members in both their technical expertise and career progression.
Key Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Associate Director: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
    • Director: Minimum 14+ years of relevant experience.
  • Education: A strong quantitative background is required. Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Computer Science.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Hands‑on experience in the design and development of risk models, methodologies, or solutions is non‑negotiable.
    • Strong understanding of banking products, credit management, and financial regulations.
    • Ability to develop or validate Credit, Market, or Operational risk measurement models.
  • Consulting / Project Skills:
    • Proven track record in a supervisory or project management role, preferably within a consulting or banking environment.
    • Strong report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to senior leadership.
  • Mindset: Self‑initiated and solution‑focused. You should be capable of conducting independent research to solve novel problems.
How to Apply

This is an opportunity to move beyond routine reporting and step into the forefront of financial innovation. You will work on the most pressing regulatory changes (Basel 4) and sophisticated modeling challenges in the market.

To apply, please submit your CV detailing your experience in specific risk domains (Credit, Market, ALM, or Regulatory Compliance) and your project leadership track record or reach out to Dex at 0162541577.
