Job summary

FMX (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive in Financial Reporting to support monthly closings, prepare management reports, and ensure timely data entry across systems.

The role requires a Degree in Accountancy, at least 2 years in accounting/finance with audit exposure, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills. A collaborative, proactive mindset and on‑the‑job training are available.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Reporting Manager in monthly closing processes.
• Prepare monthly management and ad hoc reports/analysis.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate data entry.
• Maintain audit schedules for monthly closings.
• Assist during interim and final external audits with necessary schedules and documentation.

Job description

The Accounts Executive Financial Reporting is responsible for producing and monitoring company financial statements and reports and to find ways to limit or reduce costs.

Key Activities / Accountabilities

• To assist the Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Manager in the monthly financial closing process for the Group and Company within the deadlines provided to this team.
• To assist the Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Manager in the preparation of monthly management reports or ad hoc reports and analysis as required.
• To work with the respective cross functional departments to ensure transaction data entry into the Operational or Financial system is complete, accurate and timely. Exceptions are to be reported to and handled by the Financial Reporting Manager.
• To maintain a complete and accurate record of the necessary audit schedules required to support the monthly financial closing process.
• To assist the Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Manager during the interim and final audits by the external auditors. This involves the preparation of necessary audit schedules, recomputations, delivery of required documentation in the audit substantive testing.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Degree in Accountancy.
• At least 2 years working experience in the field of Accounting & Finance in a similar position.
• Audit experience (at least 2 years)
• Must know Double Entry
• High integrity with competent analytical skills, result-oriented, process-driven, self-starter with the ability to work as a team member.
• Competent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Good teamwork within a multicultural work discipline.
• Strong verbal and written proficiency in English.
• Good verbal and written proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
