FMX (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Reporting Executive to join our Accounting team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time role focuses on preparing, analysing and presenting financial reports to support decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree/Professional in Accountancy with at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
• Audit experience (2+ years) is a plus.
• Solid double-entry accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Manager in monthly closing for Group and Company.
• Prepare monthly management reports and ad hoc analyses as required.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy in financial systems.
• Maintain audit schedules to support monthly close and audits.
• Assist during interim and final audits with schedules and documentation.

FMX (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Reporting Executive to join our Accounting team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. As a Finance Reporting Executive, you will be responsible for preparing, analysing and presenting financial reports that support informed decision-making across the organisation. This role is integral to the finance function and directly contributes to the company's financial governance and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Manager in the monthly financial closing process for both the Group and the Company, ensuring adherence to specified deadlines.
• Support the preparation of monthly management reports, as well as ad hoc reports and analyses, as required by the Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure that all transactional data entries in the operational or financial systems are complete, accurate, and timely. Any exceptions should be reported to and managed by the Financial Reporting Manager.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all audit schedules necessary to support the monthly financial closing process.
• Provide assistance during interim and final audits conducted by external auditors, including the preparation of required audit schedules, recalculations, and timely delivery of documentation for substantive testing.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree/Professional in Accountancy.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• At least 2 years of audit experience in any accounting firm or a publicly listed company in a similar capacity is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry accounting is essential.
• Technical Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Excel.
• High level of integrity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Results-oriented, process-driven, and a self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work well within a multicultural team and cross-functional environment.
• Proficient in financial modelling and analysis.
• Strong command of both written and spoken English.
• Good verbal and written proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the business is an added advantage.
