Avisena Specialist Hospital in Shah Alam is seeking a Financial Liaison Executive, B2C, to manage patient billing inquiries, deposits, and estimated medical costs, while providing financial counselling and assisting with financial aid applications.

The role involves preparing instalment proposals for approval, monitoring aid status, and coordinating with doctors, insurance panels, and the Finance team to ensure accurate claims and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

• Degree in any field.
• Degree in Business Studies, Finance, Business Management or Healthcare Management preferred.
• Relevant working experience in a hospital setting is an advantage.
• Honest, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient enquiries regarding billing, deposits, estimated medical costs, and available financial assistance
• Conduct financial counselling for patients and assist with financial aid applications and supporting documentation
• Prepare instalment payment proposals for HOD approval and monitor patients' financial aid status
• Monitor unpaid bills, outstanding payments, insufficient deposits, uncollected bills, and unrefunded amounts
• Prepare daily and monthly reports on outstanding bills, discharge data, payment discrepancies, and financial performance
• Review and update estimated medical costs, consultation and procedure fees, pricing, billing codes, and package information
• Maintain good relationships with doctors, consultants, insurance companies, panels, TPAs, and other business partners
• Coordinate with the Finance and Business Office teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims, invoices, and other financial documents
• Resolve payment disputes, guarantee letter (GL) issues, claim enquiries, audit findings, and other billing-related matters
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure proper documentation, accurate clinical coding, and compliance with insurance requirements

This role is based at Avisena Specialist Hospital, Section 14 Shah Alam. You will handle patient enquiries regarding billing, deposits, estimated medical costs, and available financial assistance, while conducting financial counselling and managing financial aid applications.

About you
