Job summary

Incora in Johor Bahru is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee accounting, reporting, controllership and compliance across the Malaysia SSC and RoW region. You will lead close processes, strengthen internal controls, and ensure statutory compliance under US GAAP and IFRS.

You will partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, Operations, HR and IT to drive finance transformation, ERP enhancements, and automation while developing the local finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MICPA/CIMA or equivalent).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or controllership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, and controllership for the Malaysia SSC.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely reporting.
• Ensure US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements, and policies compliance.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring financial integrity, strong governance, and operational excellence across multiple countries within the RoW region.**This is an on-site position based in Johor.****Responsibilities:*** Lead accounting, financial reporting, and controllership activities for the Malaysia SSC.* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.* Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements, and company accounting policies.* Maintain balance sheet integrity, financial statement quality, and a strong internal control environment.* Manage statutory reporting, external audits, and regulatory compliance across the region.* Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, Operations, HR, and IT teams on key business initiatives.* Lead, mentor, and develop the Malaysia SSC finance team.* Drive process standardization, continuous improvement, and finance transformation initiatives.* Support ERP enhancements, reporting tools, and automation projects across the RoW organization.**Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.* Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA, or equivalent.* 7+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or controllership experience.* Proven leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams.* Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, statutory reporting, and internal controls.* Experience working across multiple countries, legal entities, and shared service center environments.* Experience leading process improvement, finance transformation, or system implementation initiatives.* Experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems (JDE, OneStream, GEAC, or equivalent).* Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.* Fluent English language skills.
