Flextronics - The Flex Company in Penang is seeking a Financial Analyst based in Bukit Minyak. The role requires preparing and researching financial reports to support business needs, ensuring charges and headcount are allocated to the correct units and reporting is timely.

You will prepare consolidated statements, input journals, forecast data, and develop commentary on changes. CPA/ CMA / CA preferred; 5–6 years experience; commerce degree.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a B.Com / B.C.S / M.Com / MBA / BBA/ BBM in commerce or related field.
• Typically requires 5-6 years of related experience.
• Related professional certifications preferred (CPA, CFP, CMA, CA, CGA, or APICS).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the timely preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
• Input journal entries and aggregate actual and forecast data.
• Develop detailed commentary on forecast changes and deviations.
• Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit activities.
• Advise on accounting policies, US GAAP and BS recon.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury and regional/local finance managers.
• Generate financial reports for review by business teams.
• Identify cost saving or profitability improvement opportunities.

Compare the current forecast against the prior forecast.* Develop detailed commentary to changes in forecasts and to deviations from targeted financial metrics.* Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit activities.* Advise reporting entities on corporate accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and BS recons.* Liaise between corporate tax, treasury and other financial departments and regional and local finance managers in developing internal working partnerships.* Generate financial reports for review by business team.* Conduct cost investigation as required.* Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.**Qualifications:*** Typically requires a B.
