Job summary

Flex is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst in Prai, Penang to interface with customers and suppliers on strategic materials. You will drive sourcing/pricing strategies, present value to customers, and guide cost ownership improvements across local, regional, and global scopes.

You will develop flexibility plans, manage component cost performance, and coordinate pricing strategies while supporting supplier negotiations and cost take-down efforts.

Qualifications

• Typical requirement: a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management.
• Understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.
• Background in electronics manufacturing and understanding of OEM product development process.
• Proficiency with office tools: data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases.

Responsibilities

• Drives sourcing and pricing strategies for materials quotations.
• Interfaces with customers or suppliers on new project start-ups and pricing issues.
• Develops and guides implementation of cost reduction and supply assurance plans.
• Manages regional supplier contracts and maintains supplier relationships.
• Tracks PPV and other cost performance metrics and reports findings.

Hold up material manager or director to develop, implement GPSC reports, data research trends to facilitate resolutions making.**What a typical day looks like:*** Drives sourcing/pricing strategies in materials quotations.* Presents materials value-add to customers or suppliers, and influence customer to use preferred suppliers.* Interfaces with customer or supplier in new project start-up, for cost of ownership issues.* Develops and guides implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans.* Manages component cost/price on a local, regional and global basis.* Tracks materials financial performance and initiate corrective actions when required.* Defines and implements pricing and costing strategies.* Coordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and Customers.* Develop and implement cost take down strategies.* Increase Vendor Managed Inventory, Reduced Guide-Time and Electronic Data Interface penetration.Specialized Job controls may be required for certain positions.
