Qualifications

• Commerce or accounting degree required or equivalent.
• 5–6 years of FP&A experience in an MNC.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, CMA, CA, CGA, CFP, APICS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements.
• Input journal entries.
• Aggregate and prepare actual and forecast data; compare forecasts.
• Develop detailed commentary on forecast changes and deviations.
• Assist in quarterly reviews and year‑end audit activities.
• Advise on corporate accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaise between tax, treasury and other financial teams and regional/local managers.
• Generate financial reports for business review.
• Conduct cost investigations as required.
• Recommend cost-saving or profitability improvement opportunities.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Financial Analyst located in Prai, Penang.

In charge of preparing and researching financial reports in support of business needs in order to ensure charges and headcount are passed to the correct business units and to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

What a typical day looks like

• Assist in the timely preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
• Input journal entries.
• Aggregate and prepare actual and forecast financial data; compare the current forecast against the prior forecast.
• Develop detailed commentary on changes in forecasts and on deviations from targeted financial metrics.
• Assist in quarterly reviews and year‑end audit activities.
• Advise reporting entities on corporate accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaise between corporate tax, treasury and other financial departments and regional and local finance managers in building internal working partnerships.
• Generate financial reports for review by the business team.
• Conduct cost investigations as required.
• Make recommendations to management regarding cost‑saving or profit‑generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA / BBA / BBM, or any other commerce and accounts stream degree.
• Typically requires 5–6 years of related experience in a financial planning and analysis role in an MNC.
• Related professional certification preferred – CPA, CFP, CMA, CA, CGA, or APICS.
