Job summary

Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned finance professional to manage tax obligations, oversee capital expenditures, and coordinate audits. The role involves preparing monthly management accounts, statutory returns, and robust financial reporting.

You will liaise with auditors and tax agents, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and contribute to annual budgeting and process improvements in a dynamic construction and industrial materials environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or professional degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations, asset management, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure to meet reporting deadlines.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that tax obligations are met efficiently and legally, while helping to reduce the overall tax burden.
• Manage, track, and report all capital expenditures (Capex) for the organization, ensuring that asset investments align with budgetary guidelines.
• Act as a point of contact for internal, external auditors and tax agents, coordinating audit schedules and facilitating communication between auditors, tax agents and relevant stakeholders within the organization.
• Prepare financial reports and perform financial analysis to monitor and evaluate organizational performance.
• Prepare monthly financial and management accounts, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries and supporting schedules, reconciling key accounts, and generating financial reports.
• Prepare various financial statements and statutory returns, including annual statutory accounts, year-end financial statements, quarterly reports, and annual tax returns.
• Responsible for fixed asset management, including asset tracking, reconciliation, depreciation, and reporting.
• Preparation of annual budgets and monitor actual performance against budget targets.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process by providing the necessary documentation, schedules, and information to support the review of the organization's financial records and internal controls.
• Liaise with tax agents and relevant authorities on tax matters, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare corporate tax computations, deferred tax provisions, and related tax schedules, ensuring compliance with statutory and reporting requirements.
