Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive (Malaysia) invites an enthusiastic Finance Intern to join our Supply Chain Finance team. You will bridge financial data with operations, learn asset verification, automation of reporting, and gain mentorship from senior leaders.

Responsibilities include asset verification, maintaining asset master data, automating monthly reports in Google Sheets, and supporting internal audit preparation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Forms).
• Comfortable with data and proficient in Google Sheets/Excel.
• Interest in using technology to automate tasks and streamline processes.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Willing to learn how a manufacturing business operates and adapt to new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Fixed Asset verification to ensure assets match financial records.
• Assist in maintaining asset master list and ensure adherence to global policies.
• Support automation of monthly finance reports using tools like Google Sheets.
• Assist with Internal Audit preparation and suggest improvements to internal controls.
• Document standard operating procedures (SOBPs) for finance operations.
• Help coordinate Finance Workshops and record key discussions.

Job description

This is a Supply Chain Finance Internship role where you will bridge the gap between financial data and physical operations. You will see how a global factory manages its assets, learn how to automate financial reporting, and get direct mentorship from senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Get hands‑on experience in Fixed Asset Verification, ensuring physical assets match financial records
• Assist in maintaining the asset master list and ensuring full compliance with global financial policies
• Assist in the preparation and automation of monthly finance reports, using tools like Google Sheets to streamline data for faster decision‑making
• Gain exposure to real‑world corporate governance by assisting with Internal Audit preparation, providing observations, and recommending improvements to internal controls
• Help document critical process flows (Standard Operating Business Procedures - SOBPs) to ensure finance operations run smoothly and consistently
• Help facilitate Finance Workshops, shadow Managers in high‑level cross‑functional meetings, and document key strategic discussions

About you

• Currently pursuing or holding a Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
• Skilled in Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Forms)
• Comfortable with data and know your way around Google Sheets/Excel
