Job summary

Global Fine Wood Sdn Bhd in Kedah, Sungai Petani, is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to maintain full accounting records, manage GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow analyses.

You will ensure timely SST and tax filings, assist budgeting and forecasting, conduct internal audits, liaison with external auditors and tax agents, and support headquarters in China with monthly reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA Affiliate or Member is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting and/or auditing.
• Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, or equivalent) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous, responsible and positive working attitude.
• Able to perform multitasking in fast-paced working environment.
• Proficient in Chinese, able to apply to daily work docking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure timely submission of SST, tax filings, and statutory payments (e.g., EPF, SOCSO).
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Conduct internal audits to evaluate financial controls, processes, and compliance.
• Identify and report discrepancies or areas of improvement in accounting and operational practices.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the Finance Manager in implementing best practices and financial procedures.
• Perform related monthly reporting submission to the headquarters in China.
