The Finance Executive/Senior Executive supports and manages the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, ensuring accurate reporting, effective internal controls, and timely compliance with statutory requirements. Depending on seniority, the role may include supervising junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Assist Finance Manager / CFO in the preparation of timely reports for management and stakeholders
- Support budgetary reporting, including variance analysis on quarterly basis
- Review and prepare reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain proper general ledger records in accordance with MPERS accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Conduct month-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Supervise subordinate staff in the day-to-day financial functions of the company, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to SOPs
- Review and process supplier invoices, claims, utilities, and payment runs
- Prepare and ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a timely basis for all accounts
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax laws
About you
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 4-5 years experience for Senior Executive level
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MPERS) and Malaysian tax regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of meeting deadlines
- Good communication skills and able to work independently and as part of a team.
