Job summary

Gobi Partners in Kuala Lumpur seeks a motivated Finance Executive to support finance operations and regional activities within a dynamic venture capital environment. You will handle documentation, reporting, reconciliations, and AP while collaborating with auditors, regulators, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Around 2 years working experience in finance/accounting.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Ability to communicate in English is required.
• Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, particularly for collaboration with GBA and ASEAN counterparts.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, filing, and record-keeping of all finance-related materials.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial and management reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of balances.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, including invoice verification, processing, and posting.
• Maintain the payable ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Support the team in responding to internal and external financial queries.
• Work closely with other departments (HR, Legal, Operations, Investments) to ensure smooth financial processes and timely communication.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance function.
• Assist in ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior executives.
