We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Finance Officer to support our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will work within a close-knit, collaborative finance team, executing end-to-end accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and cash postings. This is a stimulating opportunity to diversify your commercial knowledge while ensuring our financial records remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process and code approved supplier invoices, ensuring proper authorization prior to payment.
Prepare and execute accurate payment runs in accordance with agreed supplier payment terms.
Allocate customer payments, cash receipts, and credit notes promptly and accurately.
Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier AR teams and internal invoice approvers, resolving queries efficiently.
Support the sales team with customer payment, refund, and account status inquiries.
Bank & Cash Management
Complete routine bank reconciliations daily and promptly investigate any discrepancies.
Post daily cash receipts, payments, and credit card statement reconciliations to the general ledger.
Maintain accurate cash flow visibility through reliable, timely transaction postings.
Month-End & Financial Reporting Support
Assist the Finance Manager with month-end procedures, journal adjustments, and routine account reconciliations.
Identify, investigate, and correct routine transaction coding errors.
Recommend and expedite complex variances, overdue customer accounts, or unusual transactions to management.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a general finance officer/administration role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency:
Sound understanding of core accounting principles and tax legislation.
Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) or Google Sheets.
Previous experience with Finance ERP System is a strong advantage.
