Job summary

AG Staffing Malaysia is recruiting a Finance Manager/Asst Manager for Property Development and Construction in Temerloh, Pahang. The role oversees accounting functions for holding and subsidiaries, prepares management reports, and ensures tax planning and compliance.

You will liaise with company secretary, auditors, tax agents and regulators, review contracts, arrange banking facilities, and report to the Board. A strong accounting background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional qualification (MIA/ACCA/MICPA/CPA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Experience in Property Development or Construction preferred.

Position 2: Finance Managers/Asst Managers - Property Development/Construction - Temerloh, Pahang

Responsibilities:

Oversee the timely, accurate preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements. Act as the primary liaison and take full accountability for year-end audit and statutory reporting compliance.

Lead the formulation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans.

Deliver high-level financial analysis, variance insights and data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making.

Establish, implement, and continuously improve robust internal control policies, accounting systems, and standardized reporting formats to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely submission of all corporate and indirect tax returns to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB), optimizing tax efficiencies while ensuring strict compliance with local tax laws.

Identify potential financial and operational risks, develop robust contingency plans, and spearhead ad-hoc corporate assignments or special projects as directed by Management.

Lead, and develop the finance and accounting team including providing strategic guidance to the team-fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Preferences:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification or membership in a recognized accounting body (e.g., MIA, ACCA, MICPA, CPA) is highly preferred.

At least 8 years of progressive working experience in accounting, with proven managerial experience.

Position 2: Finance Managers/Asst Managers - Property Development/Construction - Temerloh, Pahang

Responsibilities:

• Leading accounts team to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions for Holding and Subsidiaries.
• Prepare various management reports periodically and ad-hoc basis- financial report, project account, cash flow.
• Tax planning and compliance.
• Handle matters regarding corporate structure, corporate finance and corporate governance.
• Liaise with company secretary, external auditors, tax agent and regulatory bodies.
• Review contracts and liaise with lawyers
• Arrange bank facilities when needed and liaise with bankers
• Communications with Board of Directors and other stakeholders.

Preferences (Added advantages, not mandatory):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts/Finance or relevant professional qualification
• Experience in Property Development or Construction or other Real Estate related industry.
• Experience in group consolidated accounts.
• Experience in public listed company or IPO processes.
• Experience in audit firm.
