UWC Holdings Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced Financial Controller to oversee accounting and reporting, ensuring policy compliance and strong internal controls.

You will review information, prepare management reports for senior leadership, manage cash flows and financing activities, and drive cost efficiency across the group.

This forward-thinking role partners with operations and sub-teams to deliver on business plans, tax planning, and governance across international subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and reporting systems, ensure compliance with policies & regulatory requirements.
• Review financial information, design periodic management reports to advise senior leadership on corporate strategy.
• Manage day to day cash flows, financing & investing activities.
• Track company's ongoing financial performance to business plan, collaborate with operation to close gaps.
• Develop business trends and finance projections, including for new projects & expansions.
• Identify and evaluate cost saving windows to drive long term finance sustainability.
• Conduct corporate tax planning, especially evaluate impacts or opportunities from rules updates to the organisation.
• Co-lead finance department operation to achieve set goals & objectives.
• Correspond with front line departments to improve their commercial viability.
• Liaise with all spectrum stakeholders such as employees, auditors, bankers, vendors, legal & management team.
• Monitor foreign subsidiaries' finance functions, governance and internal control improvement.
• Supervise several sub-teams, motivate and develop people, drive efficiency & productivity.
• Direct report to Financial Controller.
