Job summary

WEST MALAYAN GROUP SDN. BHD. is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the company’s finance and accounting operations in Malaysia. The role covers monthly management accounts, financial reporting, cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and supervision of A/P, A/R and GL functions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and leadership capabilities. Experience in manufacturing or FMCG/food industries is advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
5-8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
Experience in a Finance Manager / Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager role.
Strong knowledge of full-set accounts, financial reporting and taxation.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Experience in manufacturing/FMCG/food industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Manage the company's overall finance and accounting operations.
Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Monitor cash flow, bank balances, payments and collections.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Monitor company expenses, costs and financial controls.
Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks and relevant authorities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory requirements.
Lead and supervise the Finance/Accounts team.
