Job summary

AirAsia Berhad, Asia’s leading low-cost airline, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial health, manage the month-end close, and coordinate statutory reporting. You will lead a shared services team, ensure liquidity, and drive improvements across ERP systems while maintaining strict adherence to group policies.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience including external audit, strong Excel skills, and excellent collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including external audit background.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and cross-department communication.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Thrives under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize accounting functions for accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage monthly closure and prepare financial reports for month-end and year-end statutory reporting.
• Preserve working capital and maintain liquidity through strategic decisions.
• Review, regulate, and reconcile accruals, provisions, and prepayments per Group policies.
• Supervise and guide the shared service center team.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate GL/sub-ledger variances as needed.
• Analyze prepaid reconciliations and discrepancies to prevent offsets.
• Resolve accounts payable issues with manager or shared services team.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement IT and ERP enhancements.
• Consolidate wholly owned subsidiaries' financials.
• Prepare comprehensive quarterly reports for the Board.
• Monitor related-party transactions for transparency and compliance.
• Tackle ad hoc tasks with initiative.
