Job summary

SOUTHERN ACIDS INDUSTRIES SDN BHD is seeking a Finance Manager based in Klang to lead the month-end and year-end close for its manufacturing entity.

You will prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and analyses, monitor cash flow and working capital, and drive costing, budgeting and compliance with tax and governance requirements. Prior manufacturing finance experience and MIA membership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of MIA.
• 5 years accounting/finance/costing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MIA).

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes for the manufacturing entity.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and financial analyses.
• Monitor plant cash flow, working capital and treasury operations.
• Oversee standard costing and variance analysis (material, labor, overhead).
• Manage inventory valuation, monitor slow-moving stock and lead stock-take audits.
• Partner with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize plant efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting and rolling forecasts; ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate governance.
• Coordinate external and internal audit processes smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a member of MIA.

Degree in Accounting / Finance and / or professional qualification in ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MIA.

5 years accounting / finance / costing experience in a MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT is compulsory.

Willing to work in Klang.
