Job summary

Digital Edge Data Center, Malaysia-based, seeks a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial controllership and accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strong financial discipline and adherence to Group policies and local statutory requirements.

The role closely partners with local operations, commercial and project teams as well as Group Finance to support growth of Digital Edge's data centre platform in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) or degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 7–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience with hands-on controllership.
• Experience in data centres, infrastructure or capital-intensive environments advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS.
• Good understanding of Malaysian statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close for Malaysia entities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Review the Malaysia trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet movements and escalate issues.
• Prepare local management reporting and supporting analysis with explanations of financial performance.
• Work with Group Finance on consolidation, reporting submissions and accounting matters.
• Oversee accounting for data centre development and operating capex.
• Support project-to-operations handover from a finance perspective, including asset capitalisation.
• Review material operating costs and ensure accruals and cost recognition.
