Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Finance Director for a manufacturing site in Pahang, Malaysia. You will partner with site leadership to drive strategic growth, deliver robust financial analytics, and lead the full reporting cycle while ensuring compliance and governance across the business.

You will build and mentor the on-site finance team, operate in a global matrix, and report to senior site leadership, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and value-added finance support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting, with professional qualification preferred.
• Senior finance experience within manufacturing is essential.
• Strong business partnering, planning, forecasting and analytics capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing a finance team.
• Comfortable operating in a global matrix organisation and reporting to senior leadership.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Collaborative, positive leadership within a team.
• Experience supporting businesses through growth and change is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner site leadership to co-develop and execute 3–5 year growth plans.
• Deliver financial analytics and insights for data-driven decisions.
• Lead full budgeting, forecasting and planning cycle with accuracy and timeliness.
• Investigate variances and embed continuous improvement across finance.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory and Group requirements.
• Provide financial modelling and costing support for commercial bids and contracts.
• Uphold the Group control framework and strong governance across risks.
• Develop and mentor the on-site finance team to build long-term capability.
