Job summary

Leighton Asia in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned finance professional to oversee daily financial operations and ensure policy compliance. You will manage month-end and year-end closes, review journals, and prepare management reports and statements to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, has at least 5 years of accounting experience, and is proficient in Excel and Oracle. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience handling a full set of accounts is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and Oracle systems.
• Meticulous, self-motivated, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and ensure compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including review of journals, accounting entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and reporting packages.
• Perform financial analysis, monitor project performance, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cash flow.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing financial information and coordinating audit requirements.
