Job summary

Private Advertiser, an industrial property leasing and management company, seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function and support a proposed listing on Bursa Malaysia. You will oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, and tax, while coordinating with auditors, regulators, and bankers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA/MIA) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of finance and accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in a Bursa Malaysia listed company or IPO/listing exercise is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, especially investment properties and lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall finance, accounting, treasury, and tax functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with MFRS and statutory requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Support and coordinate all finance-related matters for Bursa Malaysia listing exercise.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, legal advisors, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016, MFRS, and other applicable regulations.
• Prepare financial analysis, management reports, and Board papers for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Monitor rental income, lease accounting, property expenses, and investment property reporting.
• Oversee financial reporting for factory and warehouse leasing operations.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Ensure timely submission of tax, SST, and statutory reports.
• Lead and mentor the finance team with continuous process improvements.

About the role

We are an industrial property leasing and management company, specializing in the leasing and management of factories and warehouses. As part of our corporate growth strategy, we are preparing for our proposed listing on Bursa Malaysia and are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support the listing process.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016, MFRS, and other applicable regulations.
• Prepare financial analysis, management reports, and Board papers for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Monitor rental income, lease accounting, property-related expenses, and investment property reporting.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent) is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Experience in a Bursa Malaysia listed company or involvement in an IPO/listing exercise is highly preferred
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including managing the general ledger and variance analysis. Most importantly the Quarterly REIT Returns to SC
• Experience in industrial property leasing, real estate investment, REIT, property management, or commercial property will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, especially accounting for investment properties and lease accounting
• Good understanding of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, corporate governance, taxation, and financial reporting
