Job summary

Digital Symphony is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a two-person team, inheriting an established finance function with SOPs and automated reporting. You will report directly to the CEO and oversee cash flow planning, fund management, and high-level operational decisions.

You will drive automation, multi-entity accounting across MY and SG, and ensure statutory compliance. Strong leadership, audit background, and expertise in Malaysian tax and accounting standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in finance, with a strong background in Audit and Corporate Finance.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent (MIA/CA) is a bonus.
• Proven experience managing or co-managing a small team and reporting to C-suite or Founders.
• Deep knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements and tax laws.
• Exposure to Singapore tax and GST requirements is a plus.
• High proficiency in advanced Excel and financial automation tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based accounting and payroll software.
• Exposure to Google Workspace.

Job description

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead a team of two.

You will be inheriting a department with established SOPs, custom-built trackers, and a reporting line directly to the CEO. Your job is to ensure the team maintains the high standards of accuracy, automation, and strategic insight that have been the foundation of our success.

Leadership & Strategic Oversight

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and review the work of a Senior and Junior staff member. You are responsible for their output, professional growth, and the overall efficiency of the finance function.

Direct CEO Support: Serve as the strategic right-hand to the CEO on cash flow planning, fund management, and high-level operational decision-making.

Budget Gatekeeper: Own and evolve the Media Buy Trackers that drive ~85% of company profit. You are the final eyes on the data that drives the business.

Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Lead: Spearhead due diligence for future acquisition projects. Manage our compliance and all high-level liaisons with auditors, company secretary, and tax agents.

Day-to-Day Ownership

Multi-Entity Control: Oversee the full-spectrum accounting for 7 entities across MY & SG, ensuring the team handles invoicing, payments, and reconciliations with total precision.

Automation Mastery: Continue the push for AI adoption in the finance department by optimizing e-invoicing, self-billing, and automated reporting tools.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent (MIA/CA) is a bonus, but not a must.

7+ years of experience, including a background in Audit and Corporate Finance. Strong Assistant Managers with 5+ years who are ready to step up into their first leadership role are highly encouraged to apply.

Proven experience managing or co-managing a small team and reporting to C-suite or Founders.

Deep knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements and tax laws.

Exposure to Singapore tax and GST requirements is a plus.

High proficiency in advanced Excel and financial automation tools.

Exposure to cloud-based accounting and payroll software.

Exposure to Google Workspace.
