- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Provide financial advice and insights to support business decision-making and growth initiatives.
2. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Monitor budget performanceand ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Cost Control and Analysis:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor production costs and margins, ensuring alignment with business targets.
5. Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings (e.g., SST/GST, corporate tax, withholding tax).
- Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and food industry standards.
6. Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
- Oversee banking relationships, negotiate financing terms, and optimize funding structures.
7. Internal Controls and Risk Management:
- Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining oversight of financial operations.
9. Audit and External Liaison:
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Serve as the primary contact for auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
10. System Optimization:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA are highly preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry is a strong advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing costing and inventory management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
