Kimpton in Malaysia is seeking a capable Finance professional to lead day-to-day accounting and reporting functions. You will manage GL, AP/AR, payroll coordination, and fixed assets, ensuring accuracy, timelines, and compliance with IHG policies and local regulations.

You will collaborate with department heads for budgeting, monitor cash flow, and support internal and external audits while maintaining tight internal controls and organized records.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 3–5 years in accounting/finance, hospitality preferred.
• Prior supervisory/managerial experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Review journal entries and reconciliations; maintain documentation.
• Ensure timely month-end/year-end closes and cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate with department heads for budgeting and variance analysis.
• Review expenses and supporting documents within authority limits.
• Support audits with schedules, responses, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the DOFBS in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with:

• IHG accounting policies
• Approved SOPs
• Local statutory and regulatory requirements

1. Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including:

• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Cash and banking transactions
• Payroll coordination
• Fixed assets

1. Review, approve, and maintain documentation for:

• Journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Financial schedules

1. Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and analyze variances.
3. Coordinate with department heads to gather financial data and ensure budgetary control.
4. Review and approve expense claims, invoices, and supporting documents in line with authority limits and internal controls.
5. Assist in financial analysis and reporting to support business planning and decision-making.
6. Support internal, external, and IHG audits by:

• Preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Responding to auditor queries
• Following up on audit findings and corrective actions

1. Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to internal control procedures.
2. Assist the DOFBS in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
3. Provide guidance, supervision, and work direction to finance team members where applicable.
4. Perform any other finance-related duties or special projects as assigned by the DOFBS.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience is an advantage.Strong knowledge of:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and hotel accounting systems.
• Experience with SUN, Material Control, Purchase Plus, or similar systems is an advantage.
