Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. in Malaysia seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, budgeting and compliance. You will produce monthly management reports with variance analysis and oversee consolidation and statutory filings.

The role requires strong technical accounting, attention to detail and fluency in English and Mandarin. You will coordinate with auditors, tax advisors and internal teams to improve controls and ensure timely financial deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Chartered Accountant/CPA/ACCA preferred.
• 5+ years of Big 4 and commercial experience in financial reporting.
• Meticulous with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using QuickBooks is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reporting and variance commentary.
• Prepare monthly consolidation financial reports and ensure statutory compliance.
• Responsible for annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and cost accounting.
• Liaise with bankers, auditors and company secretary on treasury and compliance.
• Suggest improvements to internal control policies.

Job description

• Prepare and develop monthly management reporting and presentations with emphasis on detailed commentary on variances from budget/prior year, investigate unusual variances leading to understanding and resolution of issues.
• Prepare monthly consolidation financial reports on timely manner and ensure compliance with statutory requirement and financial reporting standards.
• Responsible for annual budget and quarterly forecast for the business and ensure submission on timely manner.
• Review reconciliation of the balance sheet items i.e., bank, cash, credit card, creditor and etc on monthly basis.
• Manage day to day finance operations and cost accounting function including communication of issues and opportunities to management.
• Responsible in taxation matters including liaise with tax authority and tax consultant.
• Liaise with both internal and external parties such as bankers, auditors and company secretary on all treasury, statutory and compliance matters.
• Ensure compliance to internal control policies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignment as and when required by the management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance
• Preferred Chartered Accountant/CPA/ACCA with at least 5 years of combined Big 4 and relevant commercial experience in financial reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in QuickBooks is an added advantage
• Meticulous and with good attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines
