Job summary

Talent Recruit represents a leading mining company with an office in Kuantan, Pahang. They are looking for a Finance Manager to support the finance and accounts department.

Ideal candidate should have a minimum Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance, 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting with at least 2 years in a managerial role, and be prepared to work 8:30am to 5:30pm with employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Accounting & Reporting: Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; oversee ledger management and reconciliations.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with local taxation and regulatory requirements; liaise with external auditors and implement audit recommendations.

Company Background:
We are representing our client, a leading miningcompany with their office location based in Kuantan, Pahang. They are currently on a look out for FinanceManagerto support their finance & accountsdepartment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
• Analyze financial performance and identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Support management in business strategy, investment decisions, andfinancial risk management.
• Participate in financial modeling, cost analysis, and pricing strategies.

2. Accounting & Reporting:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee accounting processes, including ledger management, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS) and statutory regulations.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors, employees, and statutory authorities (EPF, SOCSO, taxes).

3. Compliance & Audit:

• Ensure compliance with local taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure implementation ofaudit recommendations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.

Requirements & Others:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or Diplomain Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm
