Finance Manager
Finance Manager
The Finance Manager is responsible in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role plays a key part in driving business performance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Duties and responsibilities:
Prepare, review monthly financial statements and performance reports, ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure accuracy & completeness of the General Ledger.
Lead and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes including accruals, provisions, and Balance Sheet reconciliations. Prepare and review Balance Sheet schedules with proper supporting documentation.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other regulatory requirements.
Oversee timely submission of statutory and regulatory reports to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), including financial and non-financial filings, as well as bi-monthly Service Tax submission and e-invoice submission for overseas supplier invoices
Ensure adherence to internal policies, tax laws, and local regulatory requirements
Support and coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Manage cash flow planning to maintain adequate liquidity-monitor bank balances.
Lead internal and external audit processes including preparation of statutory financial statements.
Manage corporate tax compliance including liaising with tax agent and providing transfer pricing documentation.
Lead and supervise the finance team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance and accountable team culture.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent is highly preferred).
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements and tax practices.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
