Job summary

Airswift is seeking a senior financial leader to drive the financial set-up of project companies in Malaysia, oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires deep experience in project finance, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration across finance, legal, and operations.

You will manage funding, cash flow forecasts, and lender reporting, while coordinating with JV partners and external auditors.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in financial management, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strong experience in financial modelling, management accounting, project cost control, and financial reporting.
• Stakeholder management and commercial acumen for complex project structures and financing arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial set-up of project companies, including incorporation, capital management, banking arrangements, ERP implementation, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee project accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination to align with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Monitor project financial performance, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to support management decisions.
• Lead annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and project financial models for execution and planning.
• Review vendor and counterparty financial assessments to identify and mitigate financial, commercial, and tax risks.
• Manage project funding, cash flow forecasting, financing activities, and lender reporting with Treasury and Corporate Finance.
• Oversee vendor payment processes ensuring compliance with contractual and credit terms.
• Support financial management of joint ventures, including governance and reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams, finance, legal, tax, auditors, contractors, clients, and JV partners throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee project accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination to ensure alignment with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Monitor project financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and project financial models to support project execution and strategic planning.
• Review vendor and counterparty financial assessments, identifying and mitigating financial, commercial, and tax-related risks.
• Manage project funding requirements, cash flow forecasting, financing activities, and lender reporting in collaboration with Treasury and Corporate Finance teams.
• Oversee vendor payment processes and ensure compliance with contractual and credit terms.
• Support the financial management of joint ventures (where applicable), including governance, reporting, and funding requirements.
• Partner closely with project teams, finance, legal, tax, auditors, contractors, clients, and JV partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• 10-12 years of experience in financial management, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strong experience in financial modelling, management accounting, project cost control, and financial reporting.
• SAP experience is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas, Offshore, Energy, Infrastructure, or large-scale project environment is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and ability to manage complex project structures and financing arrangements.
