Regent International School in Klang, Malaysia seeks a Financial & AR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance operations, AR, collections, billing, compliance, and e-invoicing. You will prepare monthly reports, support month-end closing, and work with other teams to ensure smooth revenue management.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including AR, credit control, and financial reporting. This is an on-site position in Klang.
Financial & AR Management: Oversee the full spectrum of finance operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), collections, billing, legal compliance, and e-invoicing.
Accounts Receivable: Manage the AR function by ensuring timely invoicing, accurate customer account records, and prompt reconciliation of incoming payments.
Collections & Debt Recovery: Lead and monitor the payment collection process, ensuring timely collections and minimizing overdue accounts. Follow up on outstanding receivables, negotiate payment arrangements where necessary, and work closely with relevant stakeholders to resolve collection issues.
Billing Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of billing across all accounts and financial transactions.
Compliance & Legal Operations: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on contracts, payment terms, debt recovery matters, and other finance-related legal issues.
E-Invoicing Systems: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the e-invoicing system in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting & Closing: Prepare monthly financial reports, management reports, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. Provide timely financial analysis and accurate reporting to support management decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Admissions, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure smooth financial coordination and efficient revenue management.
Process Improvement & Controls: Develop and strengthen internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency. Support finance system enhancements to optimize departmental performance.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, MIA).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably with hands‑on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), credit control, collections, billing, and financial reporting.
