Job summary

Holiday Villa Resort & Beachclub Langkawi is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the Finance Department and oversee the hotel's financial operations, accounting and controls. This role requires consolidating reports for the General Manager and HQ Finance, monitoring revenue and costs, and guiding budgeting and forecasting processes.

The successful candidate will supervise Accounts Payable/Receivable, cash handling and cost control, while ensuring compliance with policies and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Finance Department as Head of Department (HOD).
• Manage the hotel’s overall financial operations, accounting and financial controls.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Consolidate financial and operational reports from all departments for submission to GM and HQ Finance.
• Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow and financial performance.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts and budget variance analysis.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control and collection.
• Monitor daily revenue reconciliation, cashiering, banking and cash handling.
• Oversee inventory, stock control, cost control and financial discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
• Provide financial analysis, advice and recommendations to the General Manager and HODs.
• Work closely with HODs to improve cost efficiency, profitability and financial performance.
• Liaise with HQ Finance on reporting, financial matters, compliance and special requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance team.
• Support management in financial planning, business decisions and hotel projects.
