Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia seeks an experienced Finance Manager to drive financial strategy and performance for its hospitality operations. The role oversees accounting, reporting, internal controls, and budgeting, with leadership of finance teams.

The successful candidate will have 5–7 years in financial accounting within hospitality, ACCA/CA desirable, and strong IFRS/MFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CA, or equivalent) desirable.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS and Malaysia financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow).
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets.
• Analyze performance vs budgets and forecasts; provide insights to senior management.
• Lead AP/AR functions and manage vendor relationships and cash flow.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns, a prestigious member of the OSK Group. This is a full-time position based in Genting Highlands, Pahang, where you will play a crucial role in driving the financial strategy and performance of our hospitality operations. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management that supports the overall growth and profitability of our resort properties. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial health of a well-established hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing actionable insights to senior management
• Lead the accounts payable and receivable functions, managing vendor relationships and optimising cash flow management
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and tax obligations
• Oversee the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
• Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the resort operations
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and software, ensuring data accuracy and efficient financial processes
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CA, or equivalent) are highly desirable
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, or resort industry
• Proven expertise in preparing and managing financial statements, balance sheets, and comprehensive financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (IFRS/MFRS), and financial regulations relevant to Malaysia
• Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; experience with hospitality-specific systems is advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial documentation
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously whilst meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership capability and experience in managing and mentoring finance teams
• Knowledge of hospitality accounting, including resort operations, revenue management, and cost control, is preferred
