ALFA LAGENDA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting and financial management activities in our Johor Bahru office. You will maintain accurate financial records, monitor cash flow, and prepare reliable information for management.

The role requires analytical, organised professionals with a strong eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple schedules, reconciliations, and financial reporting with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Several years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple schedules, deadlines, and priorities accurately.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain journal entry, invoice, creditor, debtor, cash schedules.
• Maintain cash flow schedules and monitor inflows, outflows, and funding requirements.
• Prepare and update trial balance, balance sheet, and profit and loss schedules.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain prepayment schedules and allocate transactions.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable for timely collections/payments.
• Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management review.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve finance issues.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and keep schedules current.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and maintain journal entry, invoice, creditor, debtor, cash collection, and cash receipt and payment schedules.

Maintain cash flow schedules and monitor cash inflows, outflows, and funding requirements.

Prepare and update trial balance, balance sheet, and profit and loss schedules.

Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.

Maintain prepayment schedules and ensure accurate recording and allocation of transactions.

Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable information to support timely collections and payments.

Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency across accounting records and supporting schedules.

Prepare clear and timely financial reports, analysis, and updates for management review.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and relevant parties to resolve finance and accounting issues.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accounting schedules remain current and well‑organised.

Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting processes, and schedule management.

What we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage.

Several years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash‑flow management.

Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple schedules, deadlines, and priorities accurately.

Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.

Strong communication, coordination, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.

Proactive, dependable, and able to handle confidential financial information with professionalism.
