Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan & Perundingcara Bright Prospect Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance & Accounts Leader to drive the day-to-day financial operations and ensure robust controls.

You will oversee reporting for group companies, review statements and journals, and coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.

If you have a degree in finance or accounting and at least five years of managerial experience, this role offers impact and opportunity for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• MIA membership is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant managerial experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCount Accounting software.
• Knowledge and experience in SST submissions and e-invoicing.
• Good leadership, analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Finance & Accounts team to ensure smooth daily operations and effective financial administration.
• Oversee financial reporting for multiple companies within the Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Review financial statements, accounting schedules, reconciliations, journal entries and supporting documents prepared by the team.
• Ensure the timely preparation and submission of annual management accounts and related statutory filings.
• Review investment portfolio reports and ensure timely submission to Head Office and Top Management.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting systems and operational workflows.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, SSM, bankers, LHDN, Customs and other relevant authorities on financial and statutory matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements, SST submissions, e-invoicing and other statutory obligations.
