Job summary

Beyond Horizon Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks a senior finance leader to own the financial management of incubating new business projects. You will develop budgets, monitor performance, provide insights and guide strategic financial decisions.

The role oversees accounting, reporting, controls and cross-functional collaboration, with 5–8 years of finance experience and 3 years of team leadership. Master-level qualifications and Big 4 exposure are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Big 4 experience is preferred; CPA/ACCA/CMA highly desirable.
5-8 years of relevant finance experience, including at least 3 years in team management.
Experience in gaming, hospitality, technology, internet or other fast-growing industries is preferred.
Proven ability to build finance functions and systems from the ground up.
Proficient in SAP, Oracle or QuickBooks with advanced Excel; financial modeling is a plus.
Strong communication, execution and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of financial management of incubating new business projects.
Develop and implement project budgets; monitor performance and variance.
Lead day-to-day accounting and preparation of financial statements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior management.
Provide cost-control, resource allocation and operational efficiency recommendations.
Oversee treasury management and tax planning activities.
Establish internal controls and lead audits with external partners.
Manage and develop the finance team; collaborate with cross-functional groups.
