Job summary

MVC Resources in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior Finance professional to lead FP&A, governance oversight, and strategic financial planning. The role centers on delivering robust financial insight to drive profitability and shareholder value.

You will monitor revenue, margins, and cash flows while ensuring IFRS/SFRS(I) compliance, coordinating with auditors, and providing independent guidance to senior management for action plans.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (CA Singapore, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• 10+ years' experience in finance, audit, FP&A, commercial finance, or risk.
• Exposure to listed-company environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (SFRS(I)/IFRS) and listing requirements.
• Commercial acumen in pricing, margins, credit risk, working capital, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor revenue, gross margin, operating costs, profitability, and cash flow across the group.
• Analyse profitability by business unit and highlight areas impacting the bottomline.
• Challenge budgets, forecasts, and assumptions, recommending corrective actions.
• Review major proposals, investments, and commitments from a financial and risk perspective.
• Identify margin leakage and assess financial impact of customer deals, contracts, and projects.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure revenue growth is achieved without margin erosion.
• Liaise with legal advisers on contracts and agreements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, working capital, cash flow, treasury, and capital allocation for senior management.
