Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Malaysia seeks an accomplished Investor Relations and Corporate Finance professional to support the bank’s investor relations and execution of corporate finance deals. The role covers maintaining investor relations relationships, organising roadshows, and delivering financial analysis to support engagement with investors and analysts.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in corporate finance or investment banking.
• Capital markets experience, financial modelling and valuation.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with capital markets guidelines and Basel III.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with investors and analysts by providing periodic updates on the Bank’s performance and strategies.
• Organise investor meetings, conferences and roadshows, and prepare investor presentations and reports.
• Manage inquiries from analysts and investors, review analysts’ reports and highlight commentaries/concerns.
• Provide financial analysis that mirrors analysts’ to enhance engagement and communication.
• Lead coordination and preparation of the Bank’s annual report.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities.
• Provide support for rating exercises.
• Provide support for M&A and investment activities from evaluation to completion.
• Perform research, financial analysis / modelling and valuation of targets.
• Evaluate prospects and present recommendations with commercial and financial justifications.
• Lead deal execution and closing, including documentation review, board/shareholder approvals, deal structuring and funding.
