Job summary

HSBC Malaysia offers a full-time internship for 3-6 months starting in November. You will work with Operations and HR partners to gain practical banking experience and contribute to improving customer experience through data-driven insights.

You will learn quickly, analyse data, and collaborate with a diverse team, using AI tools to support onboarding and engagement initiatives while developing a strong foundation in business analytics and finance.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in Business Analytics / Finance / Accounting / Business Administration / Banking (or related).
In final or penultimate year of studies, expected to graduate in 2027.
GPA criteria: at least the stated threshold (e.g., 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 or 2nd class upper or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends and make projections.
Acquire a broad understanding on trade settlement lifecycle processes of various markets.
Capability to work with AI solutions and other digital tools.
Analyse data to identify development opportunities.
Work as part of a diverse team to analyse data and current approaches to identify creative solutions and improved ways to engage users.
