This internship offers hands-on experience in accounting, finance, and audit support while contributing to daily accounting operations and financial reporting. The successful candidate will assist with reconciliations, audit preparation, and month-end activities, gaining practical exposure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Perform data entry and update accounting transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and verify daily financial transactions.
• Organize and maintain accounting files, supporting documents, and financial records.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules, supporting documents, and responding to auditors' requests.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance Department. This internship offers hands-on experience in accounting, finance, and audit support. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation while gaining practical exposure to a fast-paced working environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Perform data entry and update accounting transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and verify daily financial transactions.
• Organize and maintain accounting files, supporting documents, and financial records.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules, supporting documents, and responding to auditors' requests.
• Verify the accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies for correction.
• Assist in SST-related documentation and statutory compliance matters where required.
• Support budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting activities.
• Perform general administrative duties related to the Finance and Accounts Department.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments assigned by the Finance Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Basic knowledge of auditing procedures and audit documentation.
• Familiar with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SQL Accounting Software is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and eagerness to develop professionally.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Minimum internship duration of 3 months.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, UBS, or similar systems).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
• Understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements is an added advantage.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information.
