Job summary

Averis is seeking a seasoned finance professional in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to manage month-end close, journal entries and management reports. You will liaise with Company Secretary, Legal and Paralegal teams on statutory matters, support year-end audit and prepare financial statements, and provide data to banking and treasury for credit reviews and facilities.

The role also covers pricing for exports, collaboration with internal teams, and preparation for SFRM meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
• 7–10 years of accounting/audit/group consolidation experience.
• Familiar with SAP is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Month-end closing of accounts, journaling, and monthly management reports.
• Coordinate with Co.Sec/Legal/Paralegal on statutory matters.
• Assist in year-end audit and financial statement preparation.
• Provide financial information to banking/treasury for reviews and facilities.
• Assist in pricing for export shipments using pricing models.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and inquiries.
• Prepare materials for Monthly SFRM meetings (circularization included).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Involve and key liaison on in month-end closing of accounts, preparation of journal entries, monthly management reports and ensure that it is accurate and in accordance with approved accounting standards on timely basis prepared by shared service team (Industry Focus Group (“IFG”)
• Key liaison with Co.Sec/Legal/Para legal team on statutory related matters
• Assist in year-end financial audit and preparation of financial statements
• Assist in provision of financial information and business data to banking/treasury team for credit review, syndicated loan and bilateral facilities
• Assist in providing pricing for export shipment based on latest pricing models and methodologies
• Work closely with internal team members to resolve issues and enquiries
• To prepare and compile materials for Statutory Financial Reporting Meeting (“SFRM”) held monthly (including circularization process)
• To perform and other duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 7 to 10 years working experience in the related position (preferably with exposure to audit and group consolidation experience)
• Ability to work in a high volume, transactions-oriented environment
• Familiar with MS Office suite especially MS Excel, MS Word
• Candidate with experience in SAP would have be an added advantage
• Responsible and reliable, able to work independently, committed and meet deadlines
