Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Finance Executive to join our Finance and Accounting team on a full-time basis in Selangor. You will maintain financial records, support reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in accounting/finance, has 2–3 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in Excel and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting practices and tax regulations is advantageous.
• Willingness to support ad hoc accounting and finance projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account management.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Monitor and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for management review.
• Process invoices, expense claims, and payment transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties regarding financial matters and queries.
• Assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor enquiries.
• Maintain and update financial documentation and filing systems.
• Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
