Job summary

Times24 Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to manage end-to-end General Ledger activities and daily finance operations. The role includes journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and asset management.

The ideal candidate holds a finance/accounting degree (ACCA/CPA/MIA a plus) and 1–2 years' related experience, with strong Excel skills and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent (ACCA/CPA/MIA a plus).
• 1–2 years experience in GL, fixed assets, bank reconciliation or related functions.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; ERP/Accounting systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end GL activities including journal entries, allocations, accruals, provisions, inventory valuation, and month-end closures.
• Manage daily finance operations: fund transfers, bank balance updates, payment journals, and interest recording.
• Process and reconcile revenue transactions, tenancy invoicing, and related finance activities.
• Maintain fixed assets records and ensure accuracy of accounting records and supporting docs.
• Prepare landlord payments and support internal/external audits.

• Perform end-to-end General Ledger (GL) activities, including journal entries, allocations, accruals, provisions, inventory valuation, adjustments, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Manage daily finance operations, including fund transfers, monthly contra payments, bank balance updates, bank statement generation, payment journals, and interest income recording.
• Process and reconcile revenue transactions, including casual revenue, Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) charges (PayWave, TNGO, LPR, APS Cashless), manual collections, tenancy invoicing, and other finance-related transactions.
• Maintain fixed asset records, process stock charge-out transactions, and ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Prepare and process landlord payments and support internal and external audit requirements.
• Monitor the renewal of business licences, insurance policies, and road tax, and ensure the smooth operation of finance automation processes by liaising with vendors when required.
• Respond promptly to internal and external enquiries, support process improvement initiatives, and perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent), or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant working experience in General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, or other accounting functions will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 or other ERP/accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Candidates who can commence work immediately will have an added advantage.
