Job summary

Grab Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager who will take ownership of high‑level financial governance, internal controls, and corporate accounting frameworks for a complex portfolio.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, Reporting, you will partner with the SSC, Treasury, Tax, FP&A and regional finance teams to ensure balance sheet integrity, policy adherence, and timely, accurate reporting across entities.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mandatory background in external audit (Big 4 or Tier 1 firm)
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent. Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is advantageous.
• Domain expertise in accounting principles governing complex multi-entity structures and financial products.
• Oracle ERP experience with automated financial controllership platforms (treasury and reconciliation tools) is advantageous.
• Analytical, initiative-driven, collaborative and adaptable to evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own high-level financial governance and internal controls.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity and governance across corporate entities.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
• Lead journals, reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with SSC, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, and regional finance teams.
• Lead external audit preparation and coordination.
• Uphold SOX internal controls across business processes.
• Partner on corporate finance actions, including capital restructurings and M&A integrations.
• Drive ERP optimization and process automation.
