Job summary

GIIB Holdings Berhad is seeking a Financial Controller in Malaysia to lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will report to the General Manager and oversee billing, AR/AP, ledgers, and payroll while safeguarding assets and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5–10 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience, with CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred and experience in a listed company. Proficiency in SAP and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
• Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience.
• Experience in a listed company is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledgers, and payroll
• Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable financial compliance standards
• Monitor and manage operating cash flow with treasury and internal units, reporting to top management
• Coordinate budget preparation and monitor spending variances
• Design and enforce policies to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
