Job summary

The Association in Malaysia is seeking a senior financial planning and analysis professional to provide FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support to leadership and revenue and cost center teams. The role is hybrid, offering flexibility to balance work with personal commitments.

You will lead planning, monthly closes, and performance reporting, publish metrics, and identify opportunities and risks while collaborating across the organisation to drive improvements and efficient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years' related experience.
• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and decision support to leadership and revenue/cost center teams.
• Support budget development, forecast management, and related projects, plus monthly close and analysis.
• Prepare financial reports on a regular basis and share results with Finance leadership.
• Develop and publish financial metrics, highlighting opportunities and risks to drive action.
• Lead planning and participate in budget and projection cycles.
• Assist with process improvements and coordination with auditors during annual audit.

Job description

You will provide comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and decision support to the Association leadership team and other revenue and cost center teams. Support certain aspects of budget development, forecast management, revenue and expense-related projects, as well as monthly close and analysis. You will report to the Senior Manager - Finance BUsiness Partnering and use a hybrid work schedule.

You Will:

• Prepare financial reports on a regular, pre-determined basis (e.g. bi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly). Conduct analysis and share results to the Finance leadership team.
• Develop and publish financial and non-financial metrics, calling attention to opportunities and risks. Communicate opportunities and risks to Finance leadership and business owners. Identify, recommend, and implement ways to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Initiate planning and provide leadership and participate in the budget and financial projection cycles.
• Evaluate effectiveness of existing processes and recommend enhancements that lead to improvements in the quality of deliverables.
• Cultivate business relationships across the organization to understand business owner needs and expectations, incorporating feedback to enhance processes when possible.
• Help with the annual audit by preparing requested schedules and addressing auditor inquiries

You Have:

• Educated to degree level
• 5+ years' related experience
• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
