Job summary

Maybank is seeking an Audit Manager / Assistant Audit Head, Finance to lead and manage Finance audit engagements across the Group, covering Financial Reporting, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Performance Reporting, Procurement, Tax, and Corporate Treasury.

The role supervises audit teams and evaluates risk management and internal controls in line with Group Audit methodology, professional standards and regulatory expectations, from audit planning and fieldwork to reporting and audit issues

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
• CIA/CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Hands-on experience in executing and leading audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage Finance audits within timelines, budget and standards.
• Assess risks, develop audit scopes and programmes for annual planning.
• Supervise fieldwork and review working papers for evidence and conclusions.
• Evaluate audit issues with Finance stakeholders and validate remediation.
• Adopt audit technologies to improve testing, prepare and review reports.
• Coordinate with regional audit counterparts and provide guidance.
• Provide risk and control advice on finance processes and manuals.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and coach team members.
• Support Group Audit’s quality assurance and improvement programme.
